Supply Chain MANAGEMENT
Supply Chain Management (SCM) involved handling and optimizing all the many complicated facets of a supply chain, including goods and services. Modern software applications and tools are providing a way for small and large companies alike to manage even more complex supply chains.
We’ve guided our clients and deployed solutions for Demand Planning, Product Lifecycle Management, Mass Personalization, Global Trade Requirements, Inventory and Warehouse Management, e-commerce, Last Mile Delivery and Regulatory Adherence to name a few.
USE CASES
Retail Operations
The challenge as presented, open 265 boutique departments within 265 retail stores within 5 months. An alliance was formed between a national and regional retailer which depended on a successful holiday season. Starting in May from a white sheet of paper, and concluding in September, data integration between the two organizations was designed, implemented and launched. Alignment with store operations, inventory planning, purchasing, marketing, human resources and an analytics team provided the necessary insights for these cross functional units to complete the project within budget and in time for a successful holiday season.
Lean Manufacturing and Mass Personalization
Several manufacturers of consumer apparel experienced the same challenge, how best to scale the mass personalization of their products from ecommerce through the manufacturing process. G’Stato worked with a third party firm specializing in lean manufacturing and for several companies, including New Balance, Wolverine, Wilson Sporting Goods and Deckers, architected an application which consumed the personalized product recipe from their ecommerce sites, visually rendered the components on the factory floor and produced a dynamic bill of material for costing. These initiatives improved order management, developed a tightly coupled manufacturing process with multiple factories, introduced accurate costing and drove manufacturing efficiencies which positioned these organizations for planned organic growth and innovative differentiation.
