CANNABIS
Whether you’re operating a vertically integrated, MSO or a stand-alone cannabis business, there is a need for comprehensive technology solutions. All businesses benefit from a technology strategy which guides your organization as you grow and develop processes for predictable outcomes and increased margins while improving employee communication and collaboration. Operational efficiency and compliance is gained by selecting best of breed application software which supports compliance and should feed a comprehensive analytics platform creating an informed, data driven business. With the dramatic rise in malicious digital activity, businesses should also proactively protect themselves and employees from cyber security threats or crimes.
Most consultancies focus on a single area of your business, on cultivation or extraction processing, lab testing, human resources or brand development. All are important, however, they overlook the need for overarching technology components which aligns and binds all these areas into a cost effective, cohesive fabric and strategy; one that is critical to your company’s success.
G’Stato LLC proposes technology solutions which address the challenges your leadership team faces. We review and eliminate inefficient processes, if applicable, determine which software model is best, ‘build or subscribe’, and if the current solutions are used effectively. Our proven due diligence process identifies application software which best fits your operational model and fosters a collaborative and safe environment for your employees.
An eye opening exercise that proves to be very effective in establishing a go-forward strategy is a detailed technology and operational assessment. These assessments cover the classic trinity, people, process and technology as well as your company’s goals, its current life-cycle position and financial budget.
In addition to advisory services, G’Stato can work with your internal technical team to plan and deliver technology solutions or can optionally outsource the work to a team of over 120 technologists with a demonstrable track record of successful and cost effective delivery.

Multi-State, Vertically Integrated Cannabis Company – a cannabis-centric company that grows, processes and sells cannabis through its multi-state, vertically integrated business model looked to transform their business from several SMB’s into an enterprise model. Taking action in software selection and deployment, Analytics, Security hardening and Collaboration accelerated the transformation into one, unified organization.
Given the immature software landscape, the decision to build or buy became critical. After evaluating over 50 vendors, a hybrid approach was formulated. Developed with an offshore engineering team, the MSO was provided a proprietary Analytics platform capable of aggregating and reporting data from many application sources. In support of that effort, deployment was conducted with several SaaS applications which manage the ‘seed to sale process in support of State Regulatory Compliance and Corporate Governance.
Cybersecurity concerns were addressed by implementing Microsoft’s Advanced Threat Protection program. Multi-factor authentication, Safe Links, Phishing and malicious email detection and conditional logins which ensures your users are logging in from known locations were all leveraged. An employee security awareness training program was also launched which had a profound impact on reducing the company’s cybersecurity vulnerability.
Lastly, in support of employee collaboration, corporate IP stored on several services were consolidated onto Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint. Internet phone services, chat and video conferencing were made available to staff and also integrated with Outlook calendar for ease of use.
